# Demo

This series of examples shows the basic procedures for working with an etcd cluster.

## Set up a cluster

On each etcd node, specify the cluster members:

Run this on each machine:

Now etcd is ready! To connect to etcd with etcdctl:

## Access etcd

`put` command to write:

`get` to read from etcd:

```


## Get by prefix

## Delete

## Transactional write

`txn` to wrap multiple requests into one transaction:

## Watch

`watch` to get notified of future changes:

## Lease

`lease` to write with TTL:

## Distributed locks

`lock` for distributed lock:

`elect` for leader election:

## Cluster status

Specify the initial cluster configuration for each machine:

## Snapshot

`snapshot` to save point-in-time snapshot of etcd database:
